Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity to join the Technical Services team of New Zealand's largest gold mine, Macraes, located in the stunning region of Otago. Working an 8/6 roster, days only, you will manage the stability of the underground working environment through systematic data collection, geotechnical analysis, planning and underground inspections in line with the Ground Control Management Plan (GCMP). This involves mitigating risk to personnel and equipment whilst allowing production targets to be met. The Underground Geotechnical Engineer function is considered a safety and production-critical role within the mining operation.
