Responsibilities
- Measure and cut drywall panels to fit specific areas ensuring precise dimensions for a seamless finish
- Install gypsum board on walls and ceilings employing techniques that enhance structural integrity and aesthetics
- Apply joint tape and compound with skillful techniques to create smooth invisible joints between panels
- Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in carpentry or construction is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in gypsum carpentry or a closely related field
- Certification in drywall installation or related trade from a recognized institution is preferred
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations, ensuring compliance in all projects
