Job Description

30 hours per week, 6 hours per day. Monday - Friday. 

8 am - 2 pm - flexibility required. 
The Handyperson ensures the care home remains safe, well‑maintained, and comfortable for residents living with dementia. The role combines practical repair skills with an understanding of how the physical environment affects residents’ wellbeing, independence, and sense of security.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs - Complete routine fixes across plumbing, joinery, decorating, and basic electrics.
Safety Checks - Carry out and record regular checks on fire systems, lighting, water temperatures, and equipment.
Outdoor Upkeep - Look after gardens, paths, and seating areas to ensure safe, calming outdoor spaces.
Contractor Support - Arrange and oversee external trades, ensuring minimal disruption to residents.
