Job Description

A new position as Head Butcher has become available with this leading hospitality group at their production kitchen based in Johannesburg.

As Head Baker you’ll be leading the butchery division of this busy high-end production facility in charge of new product development, quality, consistency, health & safety, logistics, & staff management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage daily production in a fast-paced butchery
  • Oversee preparation, storage & quality control
  • Train, mentor, & supervise the butchery team
  • Manage ordering, stock control, & waste reduction
  • Maintain food safety & hygiene standards

  • Requirements:


  • SA national or valid work permit
  • Proven experience as a Head Butcher in a production environment
  • Strong knowledge of premium meats including game
  • Excellent leadership & organisational skills
  • Ability to work early mornings & meet production targets
