Job Description

A well-established, high-volume seafood restaurant in Cape Town is looking for an experienced Head Chef to take the reins of their kitchen operation. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will be responsible for the full kitchen function, from menu development and daily service to team management and cost control. The ideal candidate is confident running a busy kitchen, maintains high standards under pressure, and knows how to get the best out of their team.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing the kitchen brigade across all sections.
  • Managing stock, conducting regular stock takes and minimizing wastage.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensuring full compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations.
