8 am - 3pm, working alternate weekends
The Head Housekeeper plays a central role in creating a safe, dignified, and homely environment for residents living with dementia. This position leads the housekeeping team to maintain exceptionally high standards of cleanliness, infection control, and presentation throughout the home, ensuring residents feel comfortable, respected, and supported.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support the housekeeping team, ensuring high standards across the home.
Organise staff rotas, manage workloads, and provide training, including dementia‑aware practice.
Oversee all cleaning, laundry, and housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe, homely environment.
Ensure compliance with infection control, COSHH, and health and safety requirements.
Monitor stock levels and manage ordering of cleaning materials and PPE.
