Job summary
The overall purpose of the Lung Cancer Screening Programme is to enable the early detection of lung cancer to save lives.
The Lung Cancer Screening Service has been implemented throughout the UK in areas identified with high disease prevalence where significant impact can be made from the recognition of early-stage lung cancer and offering curative treatment.
Main duties of the job
- Welcome patients and guide them through their screening journey with empathy and professionalism
- Support clinical colleagues in delivering high-quality care in a fast‑paced, mobile environment
- Assist with patient handovers between screening and CT scan locations
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure data confidentiality
- Help manage clinic flow, support scheduling, and respond to patient queries
