Key Responsibilities
- Operate, load, and monitor heat treat furnaces per specifications and metallurgical procedures.
- Verify casting details , including melt and part numbers, test bar requirements, and heat treat conditions.
- Safely use forklifts, hoists, or cranes to load/unload furnace materials and fixtures.
- Maintain accurate records on log sheets and charts for process tracking.
- Monitor and control compressors, fans , and furnace gas content using CO₂ sampling equipment.
- Inspect and maintain racks, fixtures, and castings for alignment, straightness, and overall quality using templates.
- Conduct routine CO₂ and boron trifluoride line checks , documenting inspection results.
