Heavy Equipment Technician (Edmonton)

Job Overview

Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) – Spruce Grove location. This safety-sensitive position works a 7/7 rotation (Wednesday to Tuesday). The successful candidate will be experienced with Dozers, Haul Trucks, and other heavy equipment from major brands such as CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu, John Deere.

Responsibilities

• Check dozers, haul trucks, excavators, and other heavy construction and mining equipment for proper performance of all major brands (CAT, Komatsu, John Deere, Hitachi).
• Inspect equipment for defects and malfunctions.
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine extent of repair required.
• Repair and replace defective parts, components and/or systems.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance and that it meets or exceeds manufacturer's specifications.
