Role Context
This role focuses on the design, analysis, verification, and integration of electrical power subsystems (solar arrays, power conditioning units, batteries, distribution and regulation) for LEO, MEO, and GEO spacecraft used in next‑generation Earth observation and communication missions. It requires close collaboration with payload, bus, thermal, structural and mission systems teams to deliver high‑performance and reliable EPS solutions for commercial, government and defense applications.
Architecture, Concept and Requirements
- Define EPS architecture (generation, storage, distribution) meeting power budget, mass, volume and reliability constraints.
- Conduct trade studies (solar cell type, battery chemistry, regulator topology).
- Generate system requirements and functional flow diagrams.
- Develop ICDs and Design Descriptions.
