Inventory Planner

POSITION SUMMARY

Working under the supervision of the Production and Inventory Manager, the Inventory Planner is responsible for tactical planning to support the Demand Flow production process, Kanban management, monitoring inventory levels to objectives, reconciling parts shortages, disposition of rejected material, and significant interaction with Operations. The role includes reviewing MRP and placing orders with assigned vendors, and may require cross‑training in various areas of the department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Work within ISO 9002 and Sarbanes‑Oxley guidelines.
• Be an active participant and contributor to the continuous improvement process.
• Coordinate materials, textiles, and production groups in a team environment to meet customer requirements.
• Communicate delivery issues with Production Managers.
