Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Key Stage 2. You will work closely with the class teacher to help pupils achieve their full potential in a positive and engaging learning environment.
Location: Nelson
Contract: Full-time
Salary: £14.25 - £15 per hour
Start Date: September 2026
Key Responsibilities
- Support teaching and learning across KS2
- Work with small groups and individual pupils
- Assist with core subjects such as English and Maths
- Support pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Help manage behaviour and promote a positive classroom environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children (school experience desirable)
- Good literacy and numeracy skills
- A patient, positive and proactive approach
