About The Position

The overall responsibility of the laboratory analyst includes independently conducting routine and non‑routine analyses of geological samples. There are a variety of departments to explore, including Spectroscopy, Fire Assay, and Digestion.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Operate and perform maintenance on AAS, ICP‑AES and/or ICP‑MS instruments;
  • Identify & correct QC related problems by ensuring the quality of the analytical data meets ALS standards;
  • Evaluate data using instrument software and GEMS;
  • Use Microsoft Word & Excel to create written reports;
  • Prepare sample dilutions, instrument operating solutions and calibration standards;
