Job Description
Become a key player as a Laboratory Technician at the Vernon Water Reclamation Centre (VWRC). This full-time role focuses on quality assurance for wastewater treatment and reclaimed water analysis.
Reporting to the Manager at VWRC, you will coordinate laboratory tasks, analyze various wastewater samples, and provide insights on treatment system performance. Your technical acumen will help in developing sampling procedures and maintaining accurate records of the laboratory processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and perform laboratory analyses and testing
• Obtain samples from diverse water reclamation sources
• Evaluate and correlate results, assisting VWRC staff
• Maintain process control records and data management
• Operate laboratory equipment and conduct routine maintenance
Requirements:
• Two-year Water Quality Technology diploma or equivalent
• One year of relevant experience in a laboratory setting
• Valid BC Driver’s License and WHMIS tra...
