General Accountabilities

:



  • Manage, mentor, and/or develop Labour Relations Consultants (“LRCs”).

  • Participate in the development, recommendation, review and update of labour relations strategies, policies, and programs.

  • Represent management in internal grievance proceedings (Step 2 meetings, mediations and arbitrations) as well as external proceedings (e.g. Ontario Labour Relations Board hearings).

  • Participate in collective agreement negotiations with Hydro One's unions as a member of management’s bargaining team.

  • Assess risk associated with business initiatives, from a variety of perspectives including collective agreement, union-management relationships, reputational, and labour relations strategy.

  • Provide analysis, education and recommendations for managerial decision making on labour relations-related matters, which may include training and/or tool development.
