Job Description
Lead the design, development, and ownership of low-voltage electrical systems across our EV and ICE vehicle programmes. This is a technical leadership role in a small engineering team - you'll own the electrical domain end-to-end, from system architecture through to oversight of prototype and test activities. As the company grows, the intention is for this role to build and lead an electrical engineering team beneath it.
What the role covers
- Vehicle electrical system architecture and design
- Harness design - routing, connector selection, terminal sizing, wire specification, harness schedules
- Schematic capture and circuit design
- PCB design for custom control and interface boards (schematic through to layout)
- Component selection and supplier technical relationships
- Hands-on prototyping and vehicle-level testing and fault diagnosis
