Job Description
At RSI, we are seeking a Legal Assistant for Workers Compensation. The WC Legal Assistant will assist insurance defense attorneys and paralegals in the course of their work, which involves defending insurance companies and/or the businesses they insure. Because insurance defense legal assistants are not attorneys and have not been admitted to the bars of any state, legal assistants must always work under the direction of a practicing attorney. Specifically, this position is designed to handle discovery-related activities, aiding the paralegals and attorneys obtain all relevant or potentially relevant evidence. Additional duties may also be assigned to further the efficiency of the Unit’s operations, which may include filing and translation for Spanish-speaking clients. All duties and functions are expected to be handled with utmost professionalism.
