Licensing Technical Administration Officer

Reports To

Environmental Health Manager (Food, Health & Safety and Licensing)

Job Purpose

To ensure the Council meets its obligations under various legislation to Licence, Permit, Provide Consent to persons, premises and vehicles.

Principal Accountabilities

  • To receive and process all license and related applications received within target times and in accordance with laid down procedures. Applications include:
  • Animal Welfare
  • Hackney Carriage & Private Hire
  • House to House collections
  • Gambling Act
  • Licensing Act
  • Pavement Permits & Pavement Licences
  • Scrap Metal Dealers Act
  • Sex Shops
  • Street Collections
  • Street Trading
  • Any other licences as directed

To receive and respond to customers enquiries in accordance with corporate procedures.
