Job Description

Our client, a highly respected law firm, is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join their team.


Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to lawyers within the litigation group
  • Draft, format, and revise legal documents including pleadings, correspondence, and court materials
  • Coordinate service and filing of court documents through Ontario courts and e-filing systems
  • Maintain and organize electronic and physical files
  • Manage calendars, including scheduling meetings, discoveries, and court dates
  • Track limitation periods and ensure key deadlines are met
  • Prepare document briefs, motion materials, and assist with trial preparation
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court staff
  • Handle general administrative tasks including scanning, filing, and document management
