Longhole Driller

Overview

Longhole Driller (MAC00251) – Reporting to the Longhole Supervisor, you will be part of the Mine Department. The Longhole Driller is responsible for supporting mine operations and carrying out underground production drilling and other mining tasks as directed, within the construction department. You will also ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

Responsibilities

• Completed & ongoing competence with required core modules
• Blasting experience is an asset
• Underground common core is required
• Tolerance for hot / cold and humid environment
• Demonstrated Safety awareness
• Timing/Firing of EZ Dets and DigiShot
• Blasting with EZ Dets and DigiShot is an asset
• Operate longhole drilling rig in an underground environment
