Job Description

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position is primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance, repair service, and emergency repairs to a variety of vehicles, with an emphasis on Fork Trucks and other warehouse lifting equipment. This will include safety inspections, analysis and diagnosis of all vehicle and equipment components and systems, as well as welding and fabrication of specialty items and equipment. As a Life Truck Technician, you will work primarily in the Maintenance Shop, with some work in the warehouse and returns center in response to breakdowns, subject to various weather conditions.


Qualifications

  • Journeyperson status as a Powered Lift Truck Technician(282E)
  • One other trade designation – ie. Motor Vehicle Mechanic (310A or T), Millwright (433A or 426A), Master Electrician (309a/442a) or Refrigeration Mechanic (313a) would is highly preferred
