Roles & Responsibilities
- Respond independently to machine breakdowns during shift
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults
- Troubleshoot motors, sensors, relays, contactors, switches
- Repair gearboxes, bearings, belts, pneumatic and basic hydraulic systems
- Restore equipment operation safely and efficiently
- Perform basic PLC fault checking (I/O status, alarm review, reset only – no program modification)
- Monitor SCADA alarms and take corrective action within defined scope
- Escalate complex, repeated, or system-level issues immediately to Technician 3, Senior Technician, or Supervisor
- Perform basic alignment work (belt alignment, coupling alignment) when required
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks independently according to schedule
- Inspect machine condition and identify early abnormalities
- Record all maintenance and breakdown activities accurately in CMMS
