Position Overview
Repairs and maintains company and customer vehicles and mechanical equipment (engines, hydraulic systems, etx.) within the regulations and standards set by DOT (Dept. of Transportation), NYS DOH (NY state Dept. of Health), and DMV (Dept. of Motor Vehicles) by performing the following duties.
Essential Job Functions
+ Observes mechanical devices in operation to watch and listens for causes of failure
+ Diagnoses electrical and computer control devises using appropriate testing equipment.
+ Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.
+ Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.
+ Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.
