Job Description: Mechanical Design Engineer
The purpose of the Mechanical Design Engineer position is to design, develop, and ensure compliance with ASME/ANSI standards within custom fabrications. This role primarily focuses on water treatment and chemical dosing systems, known as 'skids'.
Responsibilities
+ Design systems in Solidworks™ based on sold jobs.
+ Collaborate with Application Engineers and Sales to develop engineered solutions.
+ Compare P&ID drawings to system quotes to ensure accuracy and revise as necessary.
+ Perform necessary engineering calculations such as NPSH calculations, pressure drops, and pump/flow meter sizing.
+ Work with OEM vendors to ensure ASME/ANSI design compliance.
+ Provide instructions to ensure fabricators build within compliance standards.
+ Build weld maps, frame, or structural design layouts.
+ Complete revisions of drawings per customer markups and coordinate scope cha...
