Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, an innovative leader in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Structures and Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team close to Swansea, South Wales. This permanent position offers an office‑based working pattern with flexibility for hybrid and remote arrangements by agreement.

Role Overview

You will support aircraft‑level design activities within a Part 21 Design Organisation, with a primary responsibility for aircraft structural design and independent technical checking. The role includes progressing to Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) status.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a design owner for aircraft structural solutions, taking accountability from initial concept through detailed design, substantiation, and delivery.
• Produce aircraft‑level structural design solutions and subsequent reports.
