Job Description
Job Summary: Research, plan, and design mechanical, hydraulic and other automated equipment used in the manufacturing process of forged steel, high pressure gas cylinders. Direct and coordinate activities involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of machine design and material handling systems by performing the following duties.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Designs machinery and material handling systems powered by pneumatics, hydraulics, electro-mechanical, rotary or other power transmission means to improve processes which reduce cycle time, material and tooling consumption, scrap, and extra processing steps.
Produces detailed assembly and part prints on Solid Works.
Evaluates manufacturing processes by conducting research, conferring with equipment vendors and various suppliers, and soliciting observations from operators while considering cost, quality, safety, delivery, and production capabilities.
