Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Position: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Remuneration: Up to £42,000 basic salary

Location: Glasgow

This is a permanent position covering the maintenance of a large scale estate. The role will involve general mechanical aspects of building maintenance including plant room, basic plumbing, HVAC and compliance.

Working Hours: Continental shift pattern (Week 1 – 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on; Week 2 – 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off). Shifts run from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance for plant room and mechanical plant assets.
• Maintain pumps, valves, plumbing, and basic AHU/fan coil systems.
• Perform checks and compliance duties including water/tap temperature controls.
• Install small works and complete emergency repairs.
• Carry out ad‑hoc maintenance tasks as required.
