Job Summary
Create, document, develop and implement procedures required to manufacture products and test processes.
Required Education and Experience
- Metallurgical Engineering Degree, Materials Engineering or Diploma from a Canadian University or College
- 3-5 years manufacturing experience in a related field (preferably in automotive)
- Ability to perform manual related tasks(cutting, mounting, polishing test samples, and maintain test equipment)
- Basic machining skills a plus
- Advanced Metallurgical testing knowledge and skills preferred
- Experience in metallurgical testing such as hardness, Strain analysis, tensile testing, yield analysis, elongation.
- Proficient in using X-ray equipment and handheld portable XRF analyzers
- Solid understanding of microstructure analysis, steel grain structures, heating and cooling curves
