Purpose Statement
The Manager - Purchasing is responsible for the effective leadership and management of the Purchasing team. This role will represent the Tactical Purchasing Organization in supplier and/or customer interactions, and drive operational improvement through the implementation of best practices.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Mentor and manage the purchasing team leads to ensure optimum effectiveness while acting as a role model and projecting a positive attitude.
- Monitor workload distribution among team members and allocate tasks appropriately.
- Ensure purchasing of materials is in adherence to Plexus policy.
- Accountable for the team’s performance in regards to purchasing execution metrics (including but not limited to OPH, Past Due, Unconfirmed).
- Lead the identification and implementation of best practice within region.
