Modelling Engineer for Beam Pick-Ups

For beam diagnostic instruments in the CERNSPS, it is essential to evaluate RF powers and voltages of the signals induced by the beam. Following analytical estimates, the candidate will build models for electromagnetic simulations and simulate these to characterize these structures. The simulations will be benchmarked by measurements in the laboratory and with beam.

• You have a professional background in Electronics engineering/Applied physics (or a related field) and have either:
  • aMaster's degree with 2 to 6 years of post-graduation professional experience;
  • or aPhD with no more than 3 years of post-graduation professional experience.
• You have never had a CERN fellow or graduate contract before.
