Job Description
Position:
Motor Design Engineer (2W/3W Electric Vehicles)
Experience:
3–10 Years
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop high-efficiency traction motors for 2-wheel and 3-wheel electric vehicle applications.
Perform electromagnetic design and optimization of PMSM, BLDC, and induction motors to meet performance, cost, and reliability targets.
Conduct motor simulations using electromagnetic analysis tools (e.g., Maxwell, Motor-CAD, JMAG, ANSYS).
Define motor architecture, stator/rotor topology, winding configuration, magnet selection, and cooling concepts.
Collaborate with inverter, controls, mechanical, and vehicle integration teams to achieve system-level performance objectives.
Lead motor prototyping, testing, validation, and performance characterization activities.
Analyze test data and implement design improvements for efficiency, NVH, thermal performance, and manufacturability.
