MRI Imaging Assistant

The MRI Imaging Assistant supports MRI technologists in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring safe, efficient MRI operations within the outpatient environment.

This position plays a key role in patient preparation, screening, communication, and safety, consistent with ARRT Imaging Assistant (Magnetic Resonance) Standards of Education (2025). All activities occur under the immediate supervision of a registered MRI technologist or imaging supervisor.

Primary Responsibilities

1. Patient Care and Interaction

• Greet patients and verify identity using two unique identifiers before any procedure.
• Conduct and document MRI screening questionnaires; clarify unclear responses and Stop and Escalate safety uncertainties to the technologist or MR Safety Officer.
