Network Specialist

Network Specialist In the role of Network Specialist, you will hold responsibility for the support and maintenance of the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) network and Network Security Infrastructure, ensuring that all components are working optimally and patched appropriately. This includes switches, firewalls, routers and Unified Communication platforms for video and voice.

You will work closely with other colleagues on the systems team to ensure that the SPS digital services are reliably available to all users.

You will contribute to the SPS Digital Strategy, including supporting the continual service enhancement services.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Evidence of technology training in IT, preferably in Network Technologies & Unified Communications Support / Design. (Essential)
• Evidence of Cisco CCNP, Cisco CCIE (Voice, UC or Security), or equivalent experience in networking in a large enterprise network. (Essential)
