There is a new opportunity for a highly motivated and supportive Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) with experience in Surgical nursing and High Dependency Care to lead the Surgical Ward and support the development of a future High Dependency Unit (HDU) at a private hospital in Brisbane. This is a permanent full-time position (76 hours per fortnight). ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Director of Nursing, the Nurse Unit Manager will lead the 23-bed Surgical Ward and play a key role in preparation for the planned five-bed High Dependency Unit (HDU). Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading clinical and operational management of the Surgical Ward and HDU preparation;

  • Delivering safe, high-quality, evidence-based nursing care;

  • Managing workforce, financial and resource allocation effectively;

  • Ensuring accreditation readiness and driving continuous quality improvement;
