Job Description
We are looking for motivated and dynamic Nursing Support Workers to join our dedicated Ward 8/CCU team in Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest. Full and part‑time posts are available.
Main duties of the job
- Assist patients with personal care (washing, dressing, feeding, mobility).
- Monitor and record observations (e.g., BP, pulse, oxygen levels, NEWS2).
- Support patients with oxygen therapy and respiratory care (as trained).
- Assist with basic clinical tasks (ECGs, blood sugars, specimen collection). Recognise and report any changes or deterioration.
- Maintain patient dignity, comfort, and safety.
- Support infection prevention and ward cleanliness.
- Assist with admissions, transfers and discharges.
- Operate within a variety of shift patterns to suit service requirements, including days/night rotations.
