We are a small and dedicated team within The J.J. Ugland Companies, responsible for the operational and commercial management of the heavy lift vessel Uglen and our barge fleet.
**Main duties and responsibilities**
- Plan and coordinate marine operations for barge and heavy lift vessel projects
- Prepare, review, and implement procedures for lifting, load-out, mooring, and complex barge operations
- Oversee subcontractors and advise clients on engineering tasks, ensuring alignment with HSSEQ standards
- Represent UC on-site, providing project support and performing fieldwork such as ballast engineering, attending critical meetings, and coordinating between vessel crew and client
- Conduct on/off-hire surveys, vessel suitability assessments, and audits while protecting the company’s interests
