Occupational Therapist

Role Summary

Our Therapy team consists of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and our Lymphoedema therapists. We provide care to patients both in the community setting and at our Duchess of Kent Hospice in Reading. Your primary base will be Theale, but will be an expectation to travel, dependant on clinical demand. The community Therapy teams work closely alongside our Medical and Nursing colleagues, so effective MDT working is essential.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Occupational Therapy (OT) team, you will be expected to deliver a high-quality OT service within a palliative care setting by assessing, planning, implementing (directly or through others), and evaluating person-centred programmes of care. The post holder will work as an integral member of the multidisciplinary team to optimise patients quality of life, functional ability, and participation in meaningful activities.
