Operational Training Specialist (Mill) (Saskatoon)

Position: Safety & Training Advisor – Mill (Reporting to Superintendent, Safety & Training).

Key Responsibilities

• Mentor and train SGO personnel as required.
• Improve safety and training standards.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and promote company standards.
• Develop and prepare safety and training programs.
• Assess employees’ training needs using analyses.
• Design and develop training for the mill and other departments.

Knowledge and Skills

• Passionate and self‑motivated approach to the health & safety profession.
• Strong leadership, management, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a fast‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
• Positive and proactive attitude towards safety.
• Mine rescue certificate or instructor credential is an asset.
• Experience building and evaluating training programs.
