Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain multiple database platforms including Oracle, MSSQL, and MySQL, oracle Encryption (TDE), Hardware Security Module (HSM)
Monitor database health, performance, and availability; proactively address issues before they impact service
Perform database backups, restoration testing, and disaster recovery planning
Apply database patches, upgrades, and security fixes in line with change management processes
Manage database user access, roles, and permissions in compliance with security policies
Tune queries, indexes, and configurations to optimise database performance
Support application teams with database-related issues, schema changes, and deployment activities
Maintain comprehensive database documentation and configuration records
Respond to and resolve database incidents within defined SLA timeframes
