Job Description
Technical officer's Required for Government agency in Rockhampton, this role would suit a Construction Electrical Trade person or Works officer person looking to get off the tools and work in a more technical advisory role.
Duties include:
- Liaising with Government Stakeholders regarding Government buildings, Schools, Hospitals etc
- Assign the correct priority to the breakdown
- Undertaking regular site inspections.
- Provide technical support and supervision to the region for small air-conditioning/refrigeration system installations.Ensuring site meetings are held at regular intervals and conducted in accordance with a standardised procedure.
- Issuing Variation Orders.
- Assessing contractual claims.
- Processing Contractor’s Requests for Information; and
- Ensuring Building Act Compliance inspections are undertaken, and appropriate records kept.
