Position Summary

Under the direction of the Director of Children and Families, the Outreach Worker will work with First Nations women, girls, and 2 Spirit individuals who are at risk of violence, exploitation, homelessness or systemic barriers. The Outreach Worker will provide trauma-informed, culturally appropriate services and support to assist those impacted on their journey by ensuring their safety and security and helping to restore identity, place and belonging.

Key Responsibilities
Establish trusting, respectful relationships with individuals through outreach in the community.

Assist with crisis intervention, including safety planning and accessing emergency supports.

Build relationships with service providers to assess needs and provide support.
