Join a collegial team of eight colleagues to establish a consulting community practice with a 1:7 funded on‑call schedule.
Work Setting
Nanaimo Regional General Hospital (224 acute beds) includes a dedicated pediatric ward and a new outpatient facility supported by a core team of pediatric nurses, a dietician, a diabetic nurse educator, and a full‑time child life worker.
The hospital houses a new state‑of‑the‑art 9‑bed, level 2b NICU that provides provincial beds to infants >32 weeks gestation, including short‑term ventilation and TPN.
The Nanaimo medical community offers teaching opportunities and serves as a UBC Postgraduate Family Practice Residency Program site.
