- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
- Work site environment: confined spaces, wet/damp, commercial, industrial, institutional, residential
- Physical capabilities: fast‑paced workplace, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling
- Personal suitability: accurate, client focus, excellent oral communication, team player
Responsibilities
- Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports
- Select, measure, cut, ream and thread pipe
- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
- Install clamps, brackets and hangers to support piping system and sprinkler and fire protection equipment, using hand and power tools
