Job Responsibilities
- Fill in for the Material Planning Supervisor and Master Scheduler as needed.
- Work with sales on coordinating customer orders for production to achieve on-time shipment and a high level of customer service.
- Update forecasts on an as‑needed basis based on demand input and design changes.
- Lead efforts to improve throughput with a focus on loading, lead‑time and optimizing plant capacity.
- Review capacity by work‑center and rebalance load to optimize customer service.
- Work to align original acknowledgment and promise dates with customer request dates.
- Set up, execute and maintain ordering parameters and MRP data.
- Monitor capacities and product line delivery performance and daily throughputs.
- Monitor inventory levels to avoid potential excess, obsolescence, and shortages.
- Oversee inventory policy through ABCD classification and use of proper planning parameters.
