Job Description

Main Purpose of the job:



  • To provide technical and admin support across the whole of the planning service, particularly in relation to registering and validating planning applications, publication of planning documents on the website and redacting personal information where necessary.

  • To promote the service’s chargeable services to maximise income, ensuring that all income is correctly recorded.

  • To administer the Duty Planner service; booking appointments for the relevant service, assembling and checking documentation and taking the correct payments.

  • To administer and control the Planning Service’s email box(es); responding to general enquiries, sign posting to the correct source of advice and providing an effective level of customer service to residents, local businesses and planning professionals.

  • To research and draft local land charge search results.
