Job Description
Job Characteristics:Responsible to manage the operations of all production departments in the plant. Ensures production meets the goals of product quality, cost effectiveness, safe conditions and customer satisfaction. Reports issues regarding production quality maintenance or personnel problems. Responsible to manage plant in the absence of the plant manager.
Education/Work Experience:Degree in Chemical Engineering, Engineering, Sciences or Supply Chain management. Six or more years experience in manufacturing. Four or more years prior supervisory experience in chemical manufacturing environment in a related industry.
Independence Level/Reports to:Typically supervises five to ten exempt supervisors and 50 -100 indirect reports. Selects, trains, motivates, promotes, and disciplines staff based on company policy. Normally reports to Plant Manager.
