Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Coordination of vessels during its time in the port/s.
  • Gather and maintain up-to-date information on port facilities, restrictions, and operational guidelines
  • Provide operational assistance for the vessel operators during the port call.
  • Develop commercial relationships with ports / port officials / terminals / etc.
  • Vessel Inspections for commercial / vetting / fleet / QSHE departments.
  • Negotiation of rates with stevedores, agents and other services needed in the port.
  • To work closely with each terminal’s management and stevedores, i.e. holding pre-planning meetings, attending port meetings, etc.
  • Manage Cargo stowage and Cargo intake optimization.
  • Project assistance for chartering, cargo and port inspection.
  • Ensure all cargo identified are safe for transportation in accordance with IMSBC and Dangerous Goods Code.
