About the position

We offer an exciting 3‑year postdoctoral position focused on advancing energy system modelling and optimisation using AI and machine learning. The candidate will develop a strong research profile and gain experience relevant for a future career as an Associate Professor.

About the research project

Energy systems modelling is essential for planning a carbon‑neutral future. The position will integrate and co‑develop AI and machine learning techniques with energy system models. Possible research directions include power markets, energy system planning & optimisation, sector coupling & hydrogen, and energy communities & local markets. The selected fellow will collaborate with European and Norwegian initiatives such as iDesignRES, AiD, FME Interplay, and PowerMAX.
