Postdoctoral Researcher in Nanoscience and Quantum materials

The JYU is a nationally and internationally significant research university and an expert on education that focuses on human and natural sciences.

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher to conduct experimental research in nanoscience and quantum materials using Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM) and advanced fabrication of two-dimensional van der Waals heterostructures. The position will begin on September 4, 2026, and last for 12 months with possibility of extension up to 3 years.

Our research focuses on nanostructured quantum materials, including topological systems, atomically thin 2D materials, and engineered atomic‑scale structures exhibiting emergent electronic and magnetic phenomena.
