Responsibilities
- Interpret multiple discipline drawings and understand welding codes, following and understanding RCESI WPS
- Identify all welding techniques and know the properties of various types of metal
- Proficient in the use of air/oxy/fuel cutting equipment, electric welding machines, and hand power tools
- Fit up structural and piping components as per drawings
- Weld at heights safely from a scaffold or aerial work platform
- Understand provincial and federal standards applicable to construction activities and ensure applicable code books are understood
Qualifications
- In possession of a Journeyman Welder ticket with pressure welding certification (Saskatchewan or interprovincial equivalent)
- In possession of or able to obtain a valid First Aid & H2S Certificate prior to hire
